Soccer City, Johannesburg

Soccer City is the home of South African football. It was the country's first international football stadium and has hosted many of the country's seminal political and sporting moments including the first mass rally hosted by Nelson Mandela after his release and South Africa's 1996 African Cup of Nations win over Tunisia.

Its capacity has been increased by 15,000 to 95,000 by extending the upper tier, and the stadium's 'calabash' inspired design will be enhanced with the addition of an encircling roof and new floodlighting.
