The Bafokeng are the local people who's prosperity is owed to the local platinum mining industry. The stadium, which is actually 12km from the centre of Rustenburg, has required relatively minor upgrades to bring it up to the standards required for the tournament, although with a capacity of 42,000, it's the smallest venue at this World Cup.
